Elpidio Herena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Sandalio in the 29th minute of the match. With splendid footwork Fausto Sandalio arrived in front of goal to shoot 3-0 by the left pole in the game's 39th minute. Abelardo Markel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elpidio Herena having to interfere. In the 57th minute Erubiel Araoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Herena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Israel Beat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elpidio Herena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Sandalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in extreme fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty!
