The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clemente Hechter made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Raul Pacho sent off a good shot on target. After 28 played minutes Santa Helena got a freekick which was hit by Raul Pacho. Raul Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Hechter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Purje in the 38th minute of the match. Camilo Quexal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Lopes in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raul Pacho was the one to do the kick off. Raul Pacho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Hechter having to make a save. A collision led to Santa Helena getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Americo Norino hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Ilie Purje cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Clemente Hechter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Santa Helena's Camilo Quexal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Santa Helena from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in San Lorenzo's zone, Raul Pacho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Hechter came out of the goal and Raul Pacho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Faustino Acuña got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Santa Helena's defense didn't have a chance, in the 75th minute, when Domingos Chale scored to the left of an out of position Camilo Quexal, making the score, 2-1. Raul Pacho struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Clemente Hechter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Helena. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Pacho in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clemente Hechter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 84 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Amado Ruy. After 86 minutes of play, Santa Helena's Raul Pacho made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clemente Hechter was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 93rdth minute of the game Raul Pacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Lorenzo's Clemente Hechter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erasmo Osoitz hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Lorenzo players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Santa Helena.
