To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Godofredo Bembe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andagualá's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Cordeara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inocencio Aguirre to make the kick off. Ramon Dalmu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Cordeara in the 58th minute. Silvano Llorenc hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Miguel Azubeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramon Dalmu having to interfere. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Simbolar's goalkeeper Ramon Dalmu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Pedro Cordeara came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Andagualá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Cordeara couldn't finish the play. After 90 minutes, Silvano Llorenc mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Simbolar and the Andagualá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Simbolar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Llorenc to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Anselmo Ixidor sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Simbolar's Ramon Dalmu didn't even have to move.
