Ramiro Xabats short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Nestor Clis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Eustacio Medero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Everardo Quin in the 10th minute of the match. Elpidio Platon struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Nestor Clis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gigantes de Alberdi FC. A collision led to Gigantes de Alberdi FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Ramiro Xabat hit a great ball. Ramiro Xabat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Clis having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Delgado FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Ariando. With his leg Nestor Clis managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Gigantes de Alberdi FC's Ramiro Xabat fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramiro Xabat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nestor Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gigantes de Alberdi FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Gigantes de Alberdi FC's Ramiro Xabat looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee showed Erubiel Fix the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erubiel Fix hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Eustacio Medero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Hustaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramiro Xabat was the one to do the kick off. Eustacio Medero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Rivas in the 56th minute of play. When Gigantes de Alberdi FC's Ramiro Xabat in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 71stth minute of the game Ramiro Xabat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delgado FC's Nestor Clis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erubiel Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Nestor Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nestor Clis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Xabat, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. The supporters of Gigantes de Alberdi FC booed when Delgado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Hustaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 78 played minutes Delgado FC got a freekick which was hit by Armando Ariando. Nestor Clis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pastor Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ramiro Xabat came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Gigantes de Alberdi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramiro Xabat couldn't finish the play. 90 minutes into the match, Delgado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pastor Astudillo came free, but Nestor Clis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Medero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carmelo Beila showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 96 minute of play. There was no doubt that Gigantes de Alberdi FC were the better team. Gigantes de Alberdi FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
