If Nicasio Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Curtiembre's Eusebio Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Ignatius in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Jacob in the 20th minute of play forced Curtiembre's goalkeeper Eusebio Dolfos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curtiembre's Eusebio Dolfos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Graciano Madeira in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute Graciano Madeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Dolfos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes of play, Zentena FC's Severino Jacob made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Dolfos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albino Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinaldo Queirós in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Graciano Madeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusebio Dolfos was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Biagio Cannata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graciano Madeira in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Dolfos saved Curtiembre from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Curtiembre's zone, Graciano Madeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Dolfos came out of the goal and Graciano Madeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 43 minutes of play, Zentena FC's Severino Jacob made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Dolfos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Biagio Cannata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Eusebio Dolfos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Curtiembre players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zentena FC were winning 0-2.

53 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Queirós notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Zentena FC's Albino Pinto. Albino Pinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicasio Ignatius got free with Eusebio Dolfos in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Curtiembre defense, Severino Jacob kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebio Dolfos. The Curtiembre fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebio Dolfos should have stopped the shot. Curtiembre made a substitution. Domingos Gorka replaced Eusebio Abad. Ján Hradil hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Eusebio Dolfos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Jacob in the 80th minute of play. Curtiembre's Flavio Matro pulled a muscle in his leg after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Severino Jacob fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zentena FC's protests and gave Severino Jacob a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zentena FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Severino Jacob hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Severino Jacob's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusebio Dolfos was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Eusebio Dolfos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Graciano Madeira's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. With a little luck, Curtiembre's Eusebio Dolfos got control of the ball when Nicasio Ignatius tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match was over Zentena FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Curtiembre throughout the match.
