Benito Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonzo Aballe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, 101 Dedos's Arnulfo Efraim got a free kick in the 5th minute. Nicanor Ranolfo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Nahia in the 8th minute of play. Alonzo Aballe was out of position in the 9 minute of play, and Silvestre Ilixo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Silvestre Ilixo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Tragate los pibes's Nicanor Ranolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermengildo Nahia in the 14th minute of play. Silvestre Ilixo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 18th minute. Tragate los pibes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Benito Olivar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alonzo Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melchor Vincent could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Alonzo Aballe made a huge save. 101 Dedos's Alonzo Aballe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save 101 Dedos from getting a goal against them. Didi Ortiz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Nicanor Ranolfo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermengildo Nahia went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alonzo Aballe made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Melchor Vincent sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th minute, Tragate los pibes's Benito Olivar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 30th minute Hermengildo Nahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Fanuco in the 32nd minute of play forced Tragate los pibes's goalkeeper Nicanor Ranolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Edgard Abeijon had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 34 played minutes 101 Dedos got a freekick which was hit by Lázaro Santikurtz. Alonzo Aballe acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 35th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Enzo Nesto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melchor Vincent got free with Alonzo Aballe in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to 101 Dedos getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Alvaro Fanuco hit a great ball. Alonzo Aballe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benito Olivar in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Melchor Vincent left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tragate los pibes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 47 minutes into the game, 101 Dedos's Didi Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicanor Ranolfo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hermengildo Nahia was the one to do the kick off. Benito Olivar scored 4-2 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alonzo Aballe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute Didi Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Ranolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Tragate los pibes's Melchor Vincent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alonzo Aballe made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2. In the 65th minute, Benito Olivar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Aballe was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Alonzo Aballe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melchor Vincent, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute Gualterio Jesco suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Melchor Vincent fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tragate los pibes's protests and gave Melchor Vincent a yellow card for diving instead. 101 Dedos made a substitution. Ata Uğurtan replaced Gualterio Jesco. Alonzo Aballe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benito Olivar's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benito Olivar in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alonzo Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 101 Dedos's Alonzo Aballe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melchor Vincent in the 86th minute of play. Alonzo Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Ilixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 101 Dedos's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
