The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute Amador Rio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Zubiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Cobo's Amador Rio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dante Zubiaga. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. Rene Etxatxu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Dante Zubiaga made a huge save. If Amador Rio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cobo booed when Argentinos Juniors ♥ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Eliu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Argentinos Juniors ♥'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Benigno Mantzio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 38th minute, Benigno Mantzio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dante Zubiaga, passed just outside the right post. 3-0 became the score in the 47th minute when Amador Rio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amador Rio to strike the kick off in the second half. Dante Zubiaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amador Rio in the 54th minute of play. Silvio Papo hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Joaquin Emesto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Argentinos Juniors ♥'s Teodoro Eliu tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cobo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Ivan Ekhi hit a great ball. Benigno Mantzio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Zubiaga having to interfere. Lucio Nastasio kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Amador Rio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Zubiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benigno Mantzio struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Dante Zubiaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cobo. For all the effort they put into the match, the Argentinos Juniors ♥ players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cobo.
