Fernan Beltran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lisandro Ospin in the 14th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Zeledon Harri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernan Beltran. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Fernan Beltran stood somewhat misplaced when Lisandro Ospin came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 25 minute. In the 28th match minute, Retiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Ospin to maneuver through the defense. The tension between the Retiro FC and the Roberts FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Roberts FC booed when Retiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Severiano Gonchan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Vellito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Retiro FC defense, German Vellito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severiano Gonchan. The Retiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severiano Gonchan should have stopped the shot. Roberts FC's Feliciano Vela got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Harri took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernan Beltran. Fernan Beltran dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lisandro Ospin made the kick off in the second half. If Zeledon Harri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberts FC's Fernan Beltran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Harri in the 54th minute of play. Feliciano Vela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severiano Gonchan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Retiro FC's goalkeeper Severiano Gonchan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by German Vellito. Fernan Beltran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zeledon Harri went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lisandro Ospin couldn't finish the play. If Feliciano Vela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th match minute, Retiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Lixandro to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Lázaro Francis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Roberts FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Retiro FC the free kick. Retiro FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Roberts FC for a fine match.
