Generoso Odol's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Fausto Gonchan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fausto Gonchan stood somewhat misplaced when Salvador Bittor came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. After 41 played minutes Ahrenfeld FC got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Ascencio. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Bittor in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fausto Gonchan saved Ahrenfeld FC from getting behind. In the 44th minute of the game, Artemio Celino landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. 44 minutes into the game, Gabriel Panfilo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ahrenfeld FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pichincha the free kick. Pichincha made a substitution. Armando Evangelista replaced Artemio Celino. A collision led to Ahrenfeld FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Gabriel Panfilo hit a great ball. Salvador Bittor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fausto Gonchan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Fausto Gonchan was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Pichincha fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Pichincha's Salvador Bittor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 62 minutes into the game, Fernan Gerazan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ahrenfeld FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pichincha the free kick. Fernan Gerazan kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. There was no doubt that Pichincha were the better team. Pichincha's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
