The supporters of Candelaria AFC booed when Thunders was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Senin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Erruki made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Ladislao Lartaun sent off a good shot on target. Jairo Oro kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 29 minutes of play, Thunders's Ladislao Lartaun made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miguel Erruki was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Thunders's Hernan Erramu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Omar Gustau who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Miguel Erruki when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thunders's Omar Gustau was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 39th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Omar Gustau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Erruki having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Gustau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Omar Gustau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Erruki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Erruki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Gustau in the 53rd minute of play. Miguel Erruki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Lartaun in the 54th minute of the match. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 63 minutes, Omar Gustau made it 6-1 with a short kick to the right side. Candelaria AFC's Miguel Erruki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Omar Gustau came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Thunders fans jumped to their feet.
