Abel Lamberto kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Manijas's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Lamberto came free, but Celedonio Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Txatxu in the 22nd minute of play forced Manijas's goalkeeper Celedonio Guifre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Firme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Celedonio Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Tipi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Edur having to interfere. Danilo Firme could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Celedonio Guifre made a huge save. Celedonio Guifre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emilio Txatxu in the 38th minute of play. Niceto Lluis charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Niceto Lluis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Niceto Lluis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Danilo Firme got free with Celedonio Guifre in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manijas's Celedonio Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Txatxu in the 44th minute of play. Danilo Firme kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 46th minute of the match Nicanor Illan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Edur skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Manijas's Celedonio Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Txatxu in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Paulino Pacho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celedonio Guifre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Manijas's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Firme came free, but Celedonio Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Maldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Celedonio Guifre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Danilo Firme put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Celedonio Guifre. A collision led to Simple Plan getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Paulino Pacho hit a great ball. Simple Plan's Abel Lamberto pulled a muscle in his leg after 84 minutes and couldn't finish the game. A collision led to Manijas getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Niceto Lluis hit a great ball. Celedonio Guifre came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Simple Plan's Emilio Txatxu. But to his dismay, Emilio Txatxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Emilio Txatxu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Simple Plan had won after a very even match.
