With a little luck, Claromeco's Saturnino Bermudez got control of the ball when Baldomero Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. Erasmo Sesuldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saturnino Bermudez having to interfere. In the 24th minute of the match, Erasmo Sesuldo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Saturnino Bermudez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Los Ponys's Cristo Laffitte got a free kick in the 29th minute. Baldomero Gilabert might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Saturnino Bermudez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baldomero Gilabert ran back to his position shaking his head. Los Ponys's Erasmo Sesuldo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Meder in the 35th minute of play forced Los Ponys's goalkeeper Bernardo Bracco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Bracco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bonifacio Burni in the 39th minute of play. Bernardo Bracco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidro Arixo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Bernardo Bracco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilfredo Meder in the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Claromeco getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Wilfredo Meder hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Meder to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Los Ponys was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomero Gilabert to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the match, Claromeco's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Gilabert came free, but Saturnino Bermudez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 58th minute Rodolfo Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Bermudez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Baldomero Gilabert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Claromeco's zone, Rodolfo Acosta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saturnino Bermudez came out of the goal and Rodolfo Acosta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 71 minutes on the clock, Aldo Ticho commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 71 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Claromeco! Arturo Maule shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Bernardo Bracco was out of position in the 80 minute of play, and Bonifacio Burni capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bonifacio Burni really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Baldomero Gilabert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bonifacio Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Bracco having to interfere. If Bonifacio Burni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claromeco succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Los Ponys had controlled the match.
