An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Arantes in the 13th minute of play forced Barrancas's goalkeeper Adan Cugat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sumamao AFC booed when Barrancas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Aguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Gogo Argi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barrancas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gogo Argi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Barrancas defense, Feliberto Aznaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adan Cugat. The Barrancas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adan Cugat should have stopped the shot. Jonatan Oihenarte took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uriel Caetano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augusto Brais blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adan Cugat having to make a save. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Feliberto Aznaro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sumamao AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
