The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 22nd minute Angelino Emmanuel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciro Nel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciro Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Brais, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the match, Estudiantes De Bs.As's goal looked a bit too open when Angelino Emmanuel came free, but Ciro Nel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cícero Arantes had several of the Estudiantes De Bs.As's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Ciro Nel as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ciro Nel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelino Emmanuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Cícero Arantes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sumamao AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Estudiantes De Bs.As's goalkeeper Ciro Nel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feliberto Aznaro. The audience was convinced that Cícero Arantes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ciro Nel was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorio Nataniel helped the player get up and apologised. Ciro Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Emmanuel in the 78th minute of play. Estudiantes De Bs.As's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sumamao AFC the free kick. In the 96th match minute, Estudiantes De Bs.As was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonel Pietro to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sumamao AFC fully deserved thier win.
