Henning Wahlnäs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Henning Wahlnäs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evelio Gotzon in the 25th minute. When Tobias Atarrabi fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo DMM's protests and gave Tobias Atarrabi a yellow card for diving instead. Tobias Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, The Strongest's goalkeeper Henning Wahlnäs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucas Gorka. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evelio Gotzon got free with Henning Wahlnäs in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Henning Wahlnäs didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucas Gorka went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Lucas Gorka's late challenge caught a The Strongest's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Gorka helped the player get up and apologised. The ball had pretty good speed, but Petar Filchovski firmly grabbed it by the left post. Godofredo Oinaz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Pastor Gipuzkoa struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Petar Filchovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Strongest. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Deportivo DMM fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Strongest had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
