In the 11th match minute, The Strongest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hernan Sadurni to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute, Marcelo Sesuldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Rodeo AFC's zone, 刘亦平 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hipolito Cordarryl came out of the goal and 刘亦平 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henning Wahlnäs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Vergaray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Ciro Gabirel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henning Wahlnäs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Micael in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that 刘亦平's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hipolito Cordarryl was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Rodeo AFC's Hipolito Cordarryl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Gabirel in the 37th minute of play. When The Strongest's 刘亦平 in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rodeo AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The Rodeo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 42nd minute, Ariel Bernad had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Rodeo AFC made a substitution. Clemente Carlomagno replaced Ariel Bernad. After 44 played minutes The Strongest got a freekick which was hit by Godfredo Cristofor. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 刘亦平 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Rosendo Nataniel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 71st minute, Justo Martxelin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the match, The Strongest's goalkeeper Henning Wahlnäs had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Atilano Montxo. Hipolito Cordarryl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pastor Gipuzkoa in the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Gipuzkoa in the 87th minute of play forced Rodeo AFC's goalkeeper Hipolito Cordarryl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hipolito Cordarryl came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by The Strongest's 刘亦平. But to his dismay, 刘亦平 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rodeo AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Strongest.
