The supporters of Concepción booed when Belgrano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Honesto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tatu Nylund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Ascencio in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

But to his dismay, Romeo Mede quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Tatu Nylund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Quintun, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Marcelino Maura kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Tatu Nylund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Ascencio in the 74th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Concepción's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Honesto came free, but Zeledon Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgrano's Tatu Nylund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Mede in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Efrain Rolado notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Belgrano's Tatu Nylund. Tatu Nylund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ismael Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ismael Ascencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tatu Nylund having to interfere. Concepción's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
