The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 33 minutes of play, Luján AFC's Joel Jerico made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vacib Beytekin was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 38 minutes, Vladimiro Leguizamón made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Luján AFC's Wilfredo Lain tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45thth minute of the game Desiderio Gamus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Luján AFC's Wilfredo Lain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 47th minute of play forced Luján AFC's goalkeeper Wilfredo Lain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Vacib Beytekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Jerico, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute Nicanor Birila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vacib Beytekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Luján AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimiro Leguizamón came free, but Wilfredo Lain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vladimiro Leguizamón's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wilfredo Lain firmly grabbed it by the left post. But to his dismay, Esteban Fagondo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Vacib Beytekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Fagondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilfredo Lain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 86th minute of play. When Horacio Chuse fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Luján AFC's protests and gave Horacio Chuse a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Luján AFC! When the match had been going on for 90 minutes, Billinghurst's Luís Eduardo Penha got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wilfredo Lain. Billinghurst's Vacib Beytekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicanor Birila in the 94th minute of play.
