El Potrillo's Ulaş Artan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natalio Abadie in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Rogelio Veremundo got his second yellow card in the match during the 52nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Douglas Haig booed when El Potrillo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogelio Veremundo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Donato Raymond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Potrillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Raymond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulaş Artan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Frances in the 61st minute of the match. After 63 minutes, Natalio Abadie made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. El Potrillo's Ulaş Artan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 65 minutes, Natalio Abadie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Douglas Haig and the El Potrillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 68th minute Angelo Frances shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulaş Artan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that 袁斐伟 couldn't finish the play. Angelo Frances received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ulaş Artan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Douglas Haig's goalkeeper Arsenio Mingo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Horacio Jusepe. A collision led to Douglas Haig getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Domingos Madeo hit a great ball. Horacio Jusepe struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Arsenio Mingo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for El Potrillo. Ulaş Artan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Frances in the 95th minute of the match. El Potrillo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
