Placido Galindo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Botello in the 4th minute of the match. Gerardo Santikurtz came out of the goal and Ivan Tancredo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Edelmiro Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Club Atletico Tigre getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Atilano Aureo hit a great ball. Teodoro Semeno's late challenge caught a Lala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodoro Semeno helped the player get up and apologised. Teodoro Semeno kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Club Atletico Tigre's Placido Galindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Botello in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Tigre's zone, Jesus Pueblo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Placido Galindo came out of the goal and Jesus Pueblo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Lala booed when Club Atletico Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Abadie didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Victorino Botello came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Lala fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victorino Botello couldn't finish the play. Gerardo Santikurtz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Abadie, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The supporters of Lala booed when Club Atletico Tigre was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Olayo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Galindo having to interfere. The supporters of Club Atletico Tigre booed when Lala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Ivan Tancredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico Tigre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Tancredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorino Botello to make the kick off. Casimiro Basajaun's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Tigre's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atilano Aureo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gerardo Santikurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Atilano Aureo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lala getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Flavio Tiadoro hit a great ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Tigre's goalkeeper Placido Galindo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Edelmiro Abadie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
