After 3 played minutes Independiente Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Diego Fanuco. Leonides Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolo Silvino in the 5th minute of the match. Leonides Orkatz came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Berros Futbol Club's Tiburcio Colas. But to his dismay, Tiburcio Colas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Independiente Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Atilano Bernat came free, but Leonides Orkatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonides Orkatz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolo Silvino in the 13th minute of play. Leonides Orkatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Colas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiburcio Colas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Patricio Ralondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Patricio Ralondo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Berros Futbol Club's Desiderio Che. Desiderio Che was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Patricio Ralondo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Desiderio Che was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. When Victorino Hever fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berros Futbol Club's protests and gave Victorino Hever a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Berros Futbol Club's Victorino Hever got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 38th match minute, Independiente Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Marino to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Rolando Dolfo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Berros Futbol Club getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Hector Haritzeder hit a great ball. The Berros Futbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Independiente Athletic were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Ralondo to make the kick off. Berros Futbol Club's Desiderio Che played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Monte in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Ralondo in the 59th minute of play forced Berros Futbol Club's goalkeeper Desiderio Che to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Desiderio Che didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rolando Dolfo went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute, Bartolo Silvino made a precise shot to the right of Leonides Orkatz. Independiente Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. After 70 played minutes Independiente Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Victor Kiliz. After recieving a nice pass, Berros Futbol Club's Generoso Buinton tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Rolando Dolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Orkatz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atilano Bernat in the 75th minute of the match. In the 76th minute Bartolo Silvino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute, Arnoldo Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosme Eli made in the 80th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Tiburcio Colas. Desiderio Che made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Dolfo in the 81st minute of play. Patricio Ralondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Independiente Athletic's Diego Fanuco got a free kick in the 91st minute. Desiderio Che took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Independiente Athletic's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
