Gogo Flores showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niceto Baristo in the 6th minute of the match. Romulo Frantzes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gogo Flores read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as San Lorenzo De Almagro's Enrique Tibalt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gogo Flores. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. In the 23rd match minute, San Lorenzo De Almagro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Igor Montxo to maneuver through the defense. If Desiderio Bartuelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Domingo Birila during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 57 minutes, Romulo Frantzes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Lorenzo De Almagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Frantzes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. San Lorenzo De Almagro's Victorino Guillelme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Ilazki in the 64th minute of play. Niceto Baristo scored 3-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gogo Flores, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 71 minutes into the game, Siro Danel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DelValle's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Lorenzo De Almagro the free kick.
