Feliberto Iruinea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Ted in the 3rd minute of play. After having played for 11 minutes, Ruben Bakar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mailín's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruben Bakar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mailín's Feliberto Iruinea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Ted in the 14th minute of play. Club Deportivo yupanqui's Isaias Geleberto got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Club Deportivo yupanqui's Jose Ted in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mailín's goalie prevented a goal. Celedonio Benino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. In the 28th minute, Jose Ted ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliberto Iruinea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Jose Ted sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benigno Emenon hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Evaristo Oxarra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Feliberto Iruinea. Mailín's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleuterio Maju in the 47th minute of play forced Club Deportivo yupanqui's goalkeeper Benicio Ovando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eleuterio Maju to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo yupanqui's Evaristo Oxarra got a free kick in the 51st minute. When Eleuterio Maju came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mailín fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Maju couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Mailín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Bakar to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Deportivo yupanqui's Jose Ted slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Feliberto Iruinea. That made the score 1-2 after 69 minutes of play. In the 75th minute Celedonio Benino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benicio Ovando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mailín's goalkeeper Feliberto Iruinea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Mailín's zone, Isaias Geleberto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliberto Iruinea came out of the goal and Isaias Geleberto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Celedonio Benino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mailín's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Benino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benicio Ovando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 minutes, Santiago Jax mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo yupanqui and the Mailín players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo yupanqui's Santiago Jax got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Club Deportivo yupanqui getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jose Lluc hit a great ball.
