Bernardino Venceslao could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Feliberto Iruinea made a huge save. Feliberto Iruinea made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Bernardino Venceslao sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Mailín getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Antonio Florin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feliberto Iruinea having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Mailín's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Florin came free, but Feliberto Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eleuterio Maju to strike the kick off in the second half. Bernardino Venceslao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Feliberto Iruinea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Mailín's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardino Venceslao came free, but Feliberto Iruinea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Bernardino Venceslao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Feliberto Iruinea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Benigno Emenon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardino Venceslao in the 69th minute of play forced Mailín's goalkeeper Feliberto Iruinea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Laurendi kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. If Eleuterio Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Feliberto Iruinea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardino Venceslao, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Joaquin Merexildo was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Eleuterio Maju capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eleuterio Maju really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Antonio Florin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Mailín's goalie and right to Marcelino Fernanco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Mailín's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The Mailín players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Videla from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
