After some careless play in the Leñadores del sahara defense, Antônio Carlos Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Feliciano Ralondo. The Leñadores del sahara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Feliciano Ralondo should have stopped the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Fulgencio Papo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliciano Ralondo. Leñadores del sahara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fulgencio Papo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antônio Carlos Ramalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Zarlanga's Antônio Carlos Ramalho made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After 72 played minutes Leñadores del sahara got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Elodio. A collision led to Zarlanga getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Ramalho hit a great ball. In the 96th minute Gaudencio Madeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zarlanga walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
