An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Jerardo in the 8th minute of play forced Los Secuaces's goalkeeper Amancio Sarracino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Los Secuaces's goalkeeper Amancio Sarracino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Radomir Modrzewski. In the 10th minute Zarlanga were awarded a corner. Israel Tello went to the cornerflag to take it. Amado Ofelio was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 14th minute, Gilberto Jerardo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amancio Sarracino was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Antônio Carlos Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Sarracino having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Gilberto Jerardo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Amancio Sarracino, 2-0. In the 26thth minute of the game Cosme Acevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zarlanga's Wilfredo Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute Radomir Modrzewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Sarracino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Jerardos short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Amancio Sarracino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Los Secuaces's Nicanor Velasco got a free kick in the 29th minute. Gilberto Jerardo didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-0 via right post in the game's 30th minute. Zarlanga's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Amancio Sarracino made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Antônio Carlos Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th match minute, Zarlanga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radomir Modrzewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Armando Mendez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zarlanga's Wilfredo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Acevedo in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes Los Secuaces got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Montes. After a rather tough play, Zarlanga's Antônio Carlos Ramalho got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 48th minute Cosme Acevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilfredo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilfredo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Acevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosme Acevedo was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the game, Radomir Modrzewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zarlanga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los Secuaces the free kick. Radomir Modrzewski hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Zarlanga's Wilfredo Garcia got control of the ball when Cosme Acevedo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
