With an all-out effort, Los pbes de Estudiantes's Antonio Millrick threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Uriel Lluterio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Jonny Odin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Millrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Bernard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Baltasar Tulio might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gervasio Irrintzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baltasar Tulio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 97th minute Isidoro Bernard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Millrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Los pbes de Estudiantes were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
