With a left leg Gavino Fernado saved Deportivo Los Coquitos from getting behind. 10 minutes into the match, Deportivo Los Coquitos's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Velasco came free, but Gavino Fernado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Segio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Pastor Mogel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Fernado was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Gavino Fernado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Velasco in the 21st minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Pastor Mogel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gavino Fernado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If David Ritchie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Modesto Baumer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gavino Fernado was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Modesto Baumer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ezequiel Macario charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Macario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 46th minute of the game. One of Deportivo Los Coquitos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peste Verde:s goal. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Natalio Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pastor Mogels short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Gavino Fernado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Peste Verde's zone, Natalio Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Corderro came out of the goal and Natalio Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abelardo Artaldo charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Artaldo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Deportivo Los Coquitos got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Artaldo. Pastor Mogel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Natalio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Deportivo Los Coquitos's Gavino Fernado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Los Coquitos from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Peste Verde booed when Deportivo Los Coquitos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severiano Benvido didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Deportivo Los Coquitos's Gavino Fernado got control of the ball when Pastor Mogel tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Peste Verde's Julian Cordera got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes, Deportivo Los Coquitos's Melquiades Hernando shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Corderro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Deportivo Los Coquitos reached it. Samuel Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Corderro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Ritchie in the 95th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Peste Verde's Samuel Castel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gavino Fernado. That made the score 0-5 after 97 minutes of play. Peste Verde's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
