Adriana Roldan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Quirce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Alfonso Quirce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Enaut in the 34th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriana Roldan in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alfonso Quirce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Marcos Eguntsenti lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Gavino Beat. After having played for 45 minutes, Basilio Lonzo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basilio Lonzo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basilio Lonzo in the 47th minute of play forced DESCONADOS AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Quirce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcos Eguntsenti to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes DESCONADOS AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marcos Eguntsenti. The supporters of Salta FC booed when DESCONADOS AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Eguntsenti didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriana Roldan in the 55th minute of play forced DESCONADOS AFC's goalkeeper Alfonso Quirce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Adriana Roldan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basilio Lonzo succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 86th playminute. Basilio Lonzos short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Alfonso Quirce to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Salta FC played a much better game than DESCONADOS AFC and deserved their victory. The DESCONADOS AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
