Luciano Dantae stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicanor Dacio's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A collision led to Atlanta getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Isaac Burni hit a great ball. When Nicanor Dacio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palpalá's protests and gave Nicanor Dacio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th match minute, Palpalá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Dacio to maneuver through the defense. Leandro Salomon charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Salomon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Leon Jesco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Palpalá's Clemente Gonsalvo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Nicanor Dacio came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Palpalá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Dacio couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Clemente Gonsalvo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palpalá's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Gonsalvo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luciano Dantae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nándor Koczka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38thth minute of the game Nicanor Dacio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlanta's Luciano Dantae was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Haroldo Lluc hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. If Octavio Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Nicanor Dacio made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Palpalá's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Eguerdi came free, but Leon Jesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Adan Eguerdi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Jesco was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Atlanta's zone, Clemente Gonsalvo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Dantae came out of the goal and Clemente Gonsalvo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nándor Koczka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 78th match minute, Palpalá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Gonsalvo to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Clemente Gonsalvo from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Luciano Dantae's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Clemente Gonsalvo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Luciano Dantae made a huge save. Clemente Gonsalvo struck a weak shot in the 94th minute.
