Fernando Mateo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez Sarsfield. Manuel Santikurtz kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Eustaquio Gizon hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ledesma FC's Fernando Mateo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurin Acedo in the 19th minute of play. With his leg Adan Cesaro managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Ledesma FC's Hernan Cedro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maurin Acedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Mateo having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hernan Cedro got free with Adan Cesaro in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cayetano Mederi in the 35th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Adan Cesaro kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 40thth minute of the game Maurin Acedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ledesma FC's Fernando Mateo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Romeo Remir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fernando Mateo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maurin Acedo's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Maurin Acedo made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ledesma FC's goalkeeper Fernando Mateo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurin Acedo. Maurin Acedos short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Fernando Mateo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Adan Cesaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Cedro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 66th minute, Maurin Acedo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fernando Mateo. The goal made the score 2-1. Artemio Chico's late challenge caught a Ledesma FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Chico helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ledesma FC booed when Velez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Chico didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Eustaquio Gizon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ledesma FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velez Sarsfield the free kick. A collision led to Ledesma FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eustaquio Gizon hit a great ball. Fernando Mateo had great luck who in the 76thth minute grab hold of the ball when Maurin Acedo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Romeo Remir hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Hernan Cedro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurin Acedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernando Mateo having to interfere. If Cayetano Mederi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 94 in the game by Maurin Acedo from a close distance when the talented Fernando Mateo managed to make a qualified save. Ledesma FC's players were relieved.
