The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Dolores getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Everardo Vincente hit a great ball. Luis Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mihăiţă Bulzan in the 6th minute of play. Luis Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanju Yaldırak, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Pieres defense, Teobaldo Jerano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luis Liher. The Pieres fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luis Liher should have stopped the shot. Tanju Yaldırak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luis Liher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Mihăiţă Bulzan scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luis Liher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mihăiţă Bulzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Luis Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Abadie took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 方永明. 方永明 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Luis Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mihăiţă Bulzan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 35 minutes into the game, Clemente Millrick recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of 方永明. Clemente Millrick showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Luis Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanju Yaldırak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The wind increased when Domingos Remir made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Remir in the 55th minute of play forced Dolores's goalkeeper 方永明 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mihăiţă Bulzan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Pieres getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Clemente Millrick hit a great ball. In the 64th minute of the match Damian Umea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but 方永明 skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Remir in the 65th minute of play forced Dolores's goalkeeper 方永明 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes, Pieres's Fausto Quinten shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper 方永明 came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pieres reached it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clemente Millrick during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clemente Millrick hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Mihăiţă Bulzan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Luis Liher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tanju Yaldırak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pieres's Mario Maxin got a free kick in the 89th minute. Dolores's 方永明 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Abadie in the 93rd minute of play. Dolores's Teobaldo Jerano got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
