Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Remigio Bertran made a kick off. Bernardino Macias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Cordarin in the 55th minute. When Remigio Bertran fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zanjón's protests and gave Remigio Bertran a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Zanjón getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Remigio Bertran hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Bernardino Macias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zanjón's goalkeeper Felix Opilano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71stth minute of the game Martin Salvator who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zanjón's Felix Opilano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Irigoyen's Martin Salvator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felix Opilano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Leo Abilio fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zanjón's protests and gave Leo Abilio a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes Zanjón got a freekick which was hit by Leo Abilio. A collision led to Irigoyen getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Federico Tajo hit a great ball. If Martin Salvator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardino Macias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Bertran's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. Bernardino Macias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Bertran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Irigoyen had won after a very even match.
