Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Silverio Benvido made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Christian Clis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Quichagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Clis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Hori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Quichagua booed when Alpachiri AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Magnus Albäck got free with Celestino Hori in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Silverio Benvido's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nemesio Mosen was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Christian Clis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celestino Hori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match Quichagua got a corner. Alpachiri AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jose Pudes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Quichagua's corner Jose Pudes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Celestino Hori quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th match minute, Alpachiri AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Ibon to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Alpachiri AFC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Feliberto Abajas hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alpachiri AFC's zone, Damaso Emenon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Hori came out of the goal and Damaso Emenon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Gai scored 0-1 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nemesio Mosen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nemesio Mosen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siro Ibon in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Quichagua's zone, Siro Ibon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nemesio Mosen came out of the goal and Siro Ibon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cipriano Gai took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nemesio Mosen. Nemesio Mosen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cipriano Gai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 51st minute, Christian Clis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quichagua fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Quichagua getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Magnus Albäck hit a great ball. Silverio Benvido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Mosen having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Alpachiri AFC's Silverio Benvido slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nemesio Mosen. That made the score 1-3 after 60 minutes of play. In the 64th minute of the match, Cipriano Gai got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nemesio Mosen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Nemesio Mosen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silverio Benvido in the 65th minute. Pedro Valentine kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Quichagua defense, Siro Ibon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nemesio Mosen. The Quichagua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nemesio Mosen should have stopped the shot. Celestino Hori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magnus Albäck in the 76th minute of the match. When Cipriano Gai fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alpachiri AFC's protests and gave Cipriano Gai a yellow card for diving instead. Cipriano Gai hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match, Silverio Benvido got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nemesio Mosen was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 92nd minute Christian Clis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Hori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Quichagua supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alpachiri AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Alpachiri AFC.
