The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Antonio Goito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Paulino Silvinos short, quick shot in the 5thth minute got Lucas Ignazio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulino Silvino in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucas Ignazio saved Barreal FC from getting behind. Filomeno Miliano's late challenge caught a Barreal FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Miliano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute, Gaudencio Arias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Paulino Silvino lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Lucas Ignazio. After 24 minutes of play, Barreal FC's Primitivo Opilano made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Olivar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herminio Erauso kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Gaudencio Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 36 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's Primitivo Opilano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ariel Olivar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulino Silvino's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Lucas Ignazio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bonifacio Iturri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Barreal FC's Lucas Ignazio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Barreal FC from getting a goal against them. If Bonifacio Iturri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Astor Rufio's late challenge caught a El Pechador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Astor Rufio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, one of Barreal FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barreal FC. Lucas Ignazio went to the wrong direction when Herminio Erauso was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Filomeno Miliano hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Paulino Silvino came free, but Lucas Ignazio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Pechador getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Paulino Silvino hit a great ball. Gaudencio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Paulino Silvino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucas Ignazio was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Barreal FC's Clodoveo Colon got a free kick in the 68th minute. Barreal FC's Lucas Ignazio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Iturri in the 69th minute of play. The supporters of El Pechador booed when Barreal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silverio Papo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Iker Emesto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Ignazio having to interfere. Lucas Ignazio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bonifacio Iturri, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Barreal FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herminio Erauso was slow to take the kick. During this time El Pechador's players had a chance to rest. In a very dangerous position, a player in Barreal FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! After having played for 84 minutes, Gaudencio Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barreal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaudencio Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulino Silvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Lucas Ignazio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Bonifacio Iturri made a precise shot to the right of Lucas Ignazio. Barreal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Paulino Silvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Ignazio having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the El Pechador players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
