Spectators: 7160 (Terracing: 5371, Seating: 1647, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pascual Orzaize started the match with the kick off. Damian Manuelo kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Radoslaw Kisielka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfredo Quinteros in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Alfredo Quinteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Alfredo Quinteros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Radoslaw Kisielka made a huge save. 22 minutes into the match, Cruzados's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Paz came free, but Radoslaw Kisielka reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cruzados fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Cruzados's Gustavo Rameriz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 35 minutes into the match, Gustavo Rameriz notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Independiente's Isaias Quinten. Isaias Quinten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Pascual Orzaize had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruzados's Radoslaw Kisielka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gogo Vela in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gogo Vela made a kick off. Pascual Orzaize fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isaias Quinten having to interfere. Pascual Orzaize's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Isaias Quinten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Isaias Quinten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Rameriz in the 59th minute of the match. Radoslaw Kisielka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Quinteros, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. If Gustavo Rameriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Guillermo Duardo hit a great ball. When Pascual Orzaize came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cruzados fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pascual Orzaize couldn't finish the play. Radoslaw Kisielka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Quinteros in the 80th minute of the match. Independiente's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gustavo Rameriz 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Gustavo Rameriz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Pascual Orzaize struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Isaias Quinten didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cruzados. 89 minutes into the game, Gustavo Rameriz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaias Quinten. Gustavo Rameriz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Radoslaw Kisielka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gogo Vela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogo Vela in the 98th minute of play forced Cruzados's goalkeeper Radoslaw Kisielka to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Cruzados could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Independiente throughout the match.
