The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 15th minute, Ampajango AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustavo Rameriz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Benicio Jaen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ampajango AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benicio Jaen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. Pascual Orzaize could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Martin Romo made a huge save. Ampajango AFC's Martin Romo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Donzel in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Cruzados booed when Ampajango AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 minutes, Pascual Orzaize mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cruzados and the Ampajango AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ampajango AFC may have spent more time on the ball, but Cruzados were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
