With a little luck, Makina de Dios's Arturo Loren got control of the ball when Gualterio Vermudo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 8 played minutes Goyena AFC got a freekick which was hit by Omar Quirce. The crowd rose to their feet as Goyena AFC's Feliciano Arias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arturo Loren. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Gualterio Vermudo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goyena AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualterio Vermudo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Feliciano Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Arturo Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Goyena AFC's Feliciano Arias saw an opening behind the goalie Arturo Loren in the 32ndth minute and tried to shoot past into the top right corner, but with great reflexes Arturo Loren with one arm managed to save the shot in the last secound. Makina de Dios's Arturo Loren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Makina de Dios from getting a goal against them. 39 minutes into the match, Goyena AFC's Gualterio Vermudo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Loren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Feliciano Arias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Arturo Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Vermudo got free with Arturo Loren in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Feliciano Arias to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Makina de Dios defense, Gualterio Vermudo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arturo Loren. The Makina de Dios fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arturo Loren should have stopped the shot. Alfonso Estevez charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfonso Estevez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alfonso Estevez kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Arturo Loren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliciano Arias in the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Gualterio Vermudo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goyena AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When Virgilio Elorri fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Goyena AFC's protests and gave Virgilio Elorri a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Ospetsu got free with Orlando Cordarell in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimeno Ignazio in the 74th minute of play forced Goyena AFC's goalkeeper Orlando Cordarell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Makina de Dios's goalkeeper Arturo Loren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Goyena AFC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Goyena AFC's Feliciano Arias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 94th match minute, Goyena AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Valerio to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Justo Frichoso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Cordarell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goyena AFC fully deserved thier win.
