In the 7th minute, Isidro Goyo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oscar Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Rojelio in the 13th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Ciriaco Rojelio made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Peli. DOUGLAS HAIG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in DOUGLAS HAIG's zone, Faustino Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oscar Peli came out of the goal and Faustino Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 minutes, Marcelo Maxin made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Fortinero f c's Casimiro Ubelteso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Casimiro Ubelteso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Romo in the 27th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, Isidro Goyo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oscar Peli. DOUGLAS HAIG's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isidro Goyo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Isidro Goyo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Peli having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, DOUGLAS HAIG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Resto to maneuver through the defense. Eugenio Romo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Casimiro Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Eugenio Romo took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Casimiro Ubelteso to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciriaco Rojelio to make the kick off. Fortinero f c's Casimiro Ubelteso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Gaitano in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Marcelo Maxin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Casimiro Ubelteso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 66th minute, Honorato Gaitano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casimiro Ubelteso was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Elpidio Eguerdi put in a rough tackle. Eugenio Romo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80 played minutes Fortinero f c got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Chucho. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Faustino Vasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortinero f c's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Vasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oscar Peli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Isidro Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Oscar Peli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casimiro Ubelteso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Gaitano, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. The DOUGLAS HAIG players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
