Abel Selatse's late challenge caught a CA Los Andes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Selatse helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Galera & Baston was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Selatse to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute Ernesto Rodas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute, Simon Fortun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Los Andes fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Cristian Mundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Mazuste in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Astor Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Mundo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Astor Pierres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute Tomás Sayveon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Carolo Martino charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carolo Martino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 31st match minute, CA Los Andes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Martino to maneuver through the defense. Geronimo Ramone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Astor Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Astor Pierres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristian Mundo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Galera & Baston booed when CA Los Andes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcos Ur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabricio Bertran, 41 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Astor Pierres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cristian Mundo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, CA Los Andes's goal looked a bit too open when Florencio Mazuste came free, but Cristian Mundo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simon Fortun to make the kick off. CA Los Andes's Cristian Mundo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florencio Mazuste in the 57th minute of play. Cristian Mundo made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Astor Pierres sent off a good shot on target. In the 60th minute, Galera & Baston's Astor Pierres dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Cristian Mundo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florencio Mazuste in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the game, Galera & Baston's Ernesto Rodas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristian Mundo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 71 minutes into the match, Astor Pierres notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of CA Los Andes's Cristian Mundo. Cristian Mundo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. CA Los Andes's Auke Spoel was substituted for Osvaldo Vermudo. In the 79th minute, Florencio Mazuste got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristian Mundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astor Pierres in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Carolo Martino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Astor Pierres's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cristian Mundo firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Astor Pierres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, CA Los Andes's Cristian Mundo got control of the ball when David Elequemedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernesto Rodas got free with Cristian Mundo in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by David Elequemedo during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. David Elequemedo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Galera & Baston played a much better game than CA Los Andes and deserved their victory. The CA Los Andes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
