After having played for 16 minutes, Amadeo Poncio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Villa Del Parque's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeo Poncio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximo Porfirio came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Gondra FC's Hugo Efren. But to his dismay, Hugo Efren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Efren in the 22nd minute of play forced Villa Del Parque's goalkeeper Maximo Porfirio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Villa Del Parque defense, Hugo Efren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maximo Porfirio. The Villa Del Parque fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maximo Porfirio should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Amadeo Poncio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rene Pinto was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Maximo Porfirio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Efren, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Filiberto Eusko got free with Maximo Porfirio in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Filiberto Eusko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Maximo Porfirio made a huge save. Gondra FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
