The supporters of Caleufú FC booed when Riachuelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute, Fabricio Matro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cleto Aballe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dario Padro kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Caleufú FC's Fabricio Matro in the 45th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Cleto Aballe was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Riachuelo through an amazing save. 47 minutes into the match, Riachuelo's goal looked a bit too open when Fabricio Matro came free, but Cleto Aballe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute Fabricio Matro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cleto Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Feliberto Furman made a kick off. Adrian Venceslao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Furman in the 55th minute of the match. Cleto Aballe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Matro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fabricio Matro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th minute, Sebastian Ignatius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 81 played minutes Riachuelo got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Blai. After 96 played minutes, Caleufú FC's Victorio Guib shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cleto Aballe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caleufú FC reached it. Placido Ticho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Cleto Aballe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riachuelo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
