Marcial Roldan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baltasar Uzuri in the 5th minute of the match. Anacleto Uxio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A sloppy throw-in by Luisito Maiorga in the 10th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Montañita's Sergio Gorbea. Sergio Gorbea might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Rufo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sergio Gorbea ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Fix in the 14th minute of play forced Montañita's goalkeeper Marcial Roldan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcial Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Fix in the 16th minute of play. Daniel Liher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Roldan having to interfere. Montañita's Marcial Roldan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeo Ricart in the 18th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Edgardo Tonio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montañita and the Los Perros Locos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Montañita got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Tonio. Marcial Roldan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Uxio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Edgardo Tonio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute, Efrain Fix left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Perros Locos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. When Amadeo Ricart came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Los Perros Locos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Ricart couldn't finish the play. Montañita's Marcial Roldan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Efrain Fix in the 33rd minute of play. If Amadeo Ricart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Roldan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amadeo Ricart in the 38th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Efrain Fix in the 43rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 47th minute Efrain Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Roldan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Los Perros Locos FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sergio Gorbea was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Montañita's zone, Anacleto Uxio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Roldan came out of the goal and Anacleto Uxio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, Los Perros Locos FC's Efrain Fix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcial Roldan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Sergio Gorbea struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Camilo Rufo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montañita. If Efrain Fix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcial Roldan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anacleto Uxio in the 70th minute. Montañita's Sergio Gorbea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luisito Maiorga, made in the 72nd minute of the game. Sergio Gorbea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Rufo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Amadeo Ricart dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcial Roldan, 0-4. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Montañita:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Los Perros Locos FC:s goal. Humberto Gelmiro charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Humberto Gelmiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, one of Montañita:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montañita. Edgardo Tonio kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Los Perros Locos FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
