If Everardo Sarracino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lugones AFC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sergio Torres hit a great ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Rafik El Hadi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lugones AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafik El Hadi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafik El Hadi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Anselmo Gasteiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Gasteiz hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute of the match Ceferino Balendin shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ciro Cutberto showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jamal Kessler's late challenge caught a Lugones AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jamal Kessler helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ARG getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jamal Kessler hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Pena in the 31st minute of play forced Lugones AFC's goalkeeper Ciro Cutberto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ruperto Bizi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lugones AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruperto Bizi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Gasteiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ruperto Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafik El Hadi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Gasteiz having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, ARG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Balendin to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruperto Savion stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rafik El Hadi struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Anselmo Gasteiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugones AFC. Teofilo Cloyo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rafik El Hadi scored 1-1 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anselmo Gasteiz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruperto Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Gasteiz having to interfere. Anselmo Gasteiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Bizi in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruperto Bizi in the 76th minute of play forced ARG's goalkeeper Anselmo Gasteiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ruperto Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciro Cutberto made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ruperto Savion sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Ruperto Bizi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lugones AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 86th minute of the match, Emerson Pena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ciro Cutberto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Teofilo Cloyo hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 93 minutes, Tomás Beremundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lugones AFC and the ARG players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lugones AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
