Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cirilo Geofredo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Velez Sarsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Abilio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Velez Sarsfield's zone, Gogo Natanael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Fernandes came out of the goal and Gogo Natanael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dante Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Lluc in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Freddy Bartuelo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Velez Sarsfield's Dante Fernandes got control of the ball when Gogo Natanael tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Bento in the 16th minute of play forced Alpino's goalkeeper Leon Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Velez Sarsfield's Dante Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Bartuelo in the 19th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Alpino's Dante Fernandes threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Freddy Bartuelo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Lluc in the 32nd minute of play forced Velez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Dante Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alpino's Leon Dolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Geofredo in the 34th minute of play. Albino Bikendi kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Dante Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Bartuelo in the 37th minute of the match. Dante Fernandes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gogo Natanael in the 41st minute. Dante Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Freddy Bartuelo sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute of the match, Gogo Natanael got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dante Fernandes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Diego Bento charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Bento the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Bento kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Gogo Natanael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alpino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Velez Sarsfield the free kick. After a rather tough play, Alpino's Gogo Natanael got a free kick in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gogo Natanael made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Velez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Diego Bento. 55 minutes into the match, Velez Sarsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Freddy Bartuelo came free, but Dante Fernandes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Bonifacio Vitin got a free kick in the 57th minute. Dante Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Bartuelo in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Velez Sarsfield getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Bonifacio Vitin hit a great ball. Nemesio Iratze kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Velez Sarsfield's Diego Bento got a free kick in the 71st minute. Jesus Laurendi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 75th playminute. Dante Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Bartuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Fernandes came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Alpino's Freddy Bartuelo. But to his dismay, Freddy Bartuelo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Velez Sarsfield defense, Freddy Bartuelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Fernandes. The Velez Sarsfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Fernandes should have stopped the shot. Gogo Natanael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Freddy Bartuelo took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dante Fernandes. Dante Fernandes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Alpino walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
