Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gerardo Evis kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Independiente's goalkeeper Vicente Demesio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edelmiro Abilio. Nereo Evis kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Jaime Mirande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Mirande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 11th minute, Dario Garin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente Demesio. The goal made the score 1-0. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Independiente's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fidel Lano was slow to take the kick. During this time Guiñazú's players had a chance to rest. Fidel Lano made a great header on Guiñazú's corner, it was just that Independiente's Vicente Demesio managed to reach the ball for a save. Arnulfo Lano lost his temper 18 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 18th minute, Arnulfo Lano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benedicto Platon fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 20th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. 22 minutes into the match, Guiñazú's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Evis came free, but Leandro Refugio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leandro Refugio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristo Estefan, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Cristo Estefan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Refugio having to interfere. Cristo Estefan took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Refugio. Leandro Refugio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Mirande in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Demesio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Cristobal Oliverios hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Demesio came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Guiñazú's Evelio Harri. But to his dismay, Evelio Harri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Mirande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Emiliano Jusepe thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Vicente Demesio, a very annoying self made goal in the 51st minute which led to 4-1. After having played for 56 minutes, Gerardo Evis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerardo Evis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristobal Oliverios struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Vicente Demesio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guiñazú. In the 62nd match minute, Guiñazú was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Garin to maneuver through the defense. Cristo Estefan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Leandro Refugio made a huge save. With a little luck, Guiñazú's Leandro Refugio got control of the ball when Cristo Estefan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leandro Refugio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerardo Evis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-2 in the 71 minute of play. In the 77th minute, Edelmiro Abilio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Estefan got free with Leandro Refugio in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jaime Mirande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 83 minutes, Cristo Estefan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristo Estefan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Leandro Refugio made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Cristo Estefan sent off a good shot on target. Cristo Estefan took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leandro Refugio. Leandro Refugio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. Jaime Mirande struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Guiñazú's Leandro Refugio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerardo Evis in the 95th minute of play. Gerardo Evis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Guiñazú players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
