Zachariasz Pazura might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celestino Tercero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zachariasz Pazura ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Ceferino Gonzales sped through Iriarte's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Celestino Tercero. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Romulo Charro put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Celestino Tercero. The supporters of Unión FC booed when Iriarte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Llorienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute of the match Abelardo Maria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Celestino Tercero skillfully saved the ball. Ceferino Gonzales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celestino Tercero having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Paulin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Abelardo Maria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Tercero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celestino Tercero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Charro in the 55th minute of play. Celestino Tercero didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. Romulo Charro in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 86th minute of the match, Ceferino Gonzales tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Celestino Tercero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 90th minute, Ceferino Gonzales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 91 played minutes Iriarte got a freekick which was hit by Severiano Paulin. Romulo Charro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Celestino Tercero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 96 in the game by Romulo Charro from a close distance when the talented Celestino Tercero managed to make a qualified save. Iriarte's players were relieved. Unión FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
