With a left leg Jay King saved salto FC from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by salto FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Atilano Quirce was slow to take the kick. During this time Defferrari FC's players had a chance to rest. Defferrari FC's Atilano Quirce was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jay King in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Duda Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Cesar Bernat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
