After 5 played minutes San Lorenzo de Almagro got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Nataniel. 6 minutes into the match, Dragoş Stoican had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artemio Mincho. San Lorenzo de Almagro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dragoş Stoican was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Dragoş Stoican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amancio Ferman was the one to do the kick off. Artemio Mincho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dragoş Stoican, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Laureano Aguilera's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Artemio Mincho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. San Lorenzo de Almagro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Dragoş Stoican scored to the left of an out of position Artemio Mincho, making the score, 1-4. Dragoş Stoican received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Artemio Mincho came out and tried to block the shot, but Dragoş Stoican slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 77th minute. Federico Laurin had several of the San Lorenzo de Almagro's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 82 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-8 score and a disappointed Artemio Mincho as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 88th minute, Embarcación's Laureano Aguilera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Artemio Mincho. Artemio Mincho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-9. 94 minutes into the game, Dragoş Stoican recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Artemio Mincho. Dragoş Stoican showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. Embarcación played a much better game than San Lorenzo de Almagro and deserved their victory. The San Lorenzo de Almagro players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
