The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Norberto Basualdo in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Urtungo saved Chøp FC from getting behind. Julian Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Abraham Sliepers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredo Izel, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Abraham Sliepers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Bitxintxo in the 11th minute of the match. After 12 minutes of play, Chøp FC's Alberto Artaldo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abraham Sliepers was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Guib got free with Igor Urtungo in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Igor Urtungo was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Jairo Guib capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jairo Guib really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chøp FC's zone, Melchor Ederono stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Urtungo came out of the goal and Melchor Ederono tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chøp FC's goalkeeper Igor Urtungo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Urtungo made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Jairo Guib sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Alfredo Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Sliepers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Aquiles Oxarra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Chøp FC's Igor Urtungo got control of the ball when Jairo Guib tried to sneak it across the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Salta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Izel came free, but Abraham Sliepers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chøp FC's Igor Urtungo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Chøp FC from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In a very dangerous position, a player in Chøp FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Salta FC. Melchor Ederono stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Igor Urtungo. 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Chøp FC's zone, Jairo Guib stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Urtungo came out of the goal and Jairo Guib tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 79 minutes into the game, Salta FC's Melchor Ederono nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Igor Urtungo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Igor Urtungo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jairo Guib, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. If Jairo Guib had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Severo Behe took a quick shot and it went in 3-2 without a chance for Abraham Sliepers to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 93 minutes, Severo Behe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chøp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severo Behe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Abraham Sliepers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Behe in the 95th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jairo Guib's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Igor Urtungo was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. Salta FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
